We at Blountville Hardware strive to operate in a manner that follows scripture.
  1. Have a plan - Luke 14:28-30 reminds us to "Count the cost" and of the importance of a budget. It is a Biblical principle of stewardship. When we look at the day-to-day expenses of running a business, we do so with the intention of planning for the future.
  2. Reap what you sow - Galatians 6:7 says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” Applicable to daily life as well as business, our goal is to invest time, energy, and resources into our business and trust in God for the return.
  3. Operate with integrity and honesty - Proverbs 16:11, “A just balance and scales are the Lord's; all the weights in the bag are his work.” This is a clear statement. We operate our business with honesty, fairness, and justice. When we cut corners or engage in dishonest practices, we are not only breaking the law but also dishonoring God. Operating with integrity will help us to build a strong foundation for business success. It will also give us peace of mind that comes from knowing we are doing things the right way.
  4. Be Faithful (Don’t be afraid to start small…and grow) Matthew 25:21, “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.” This is encouragement for Christian business owners who may feel stuck in a rut. There may be times when we may not be where we want to be in our business, but if we remain faithful to the little things, God will entrust us with more. We may be starting small but our goal is to be faithful with what we have and watch God bless the effort.
